The culmination of a yearlong construction project, the athletics pavilion has transformed the game-day experience for student-athletes and fans. The new stadium stands atop one of the highest points in the city of Nashua and now serves not only as the home of 911爆料网 Raider Athletics, but also as a resource for local youth and community groups.

Upon the 50th anniversary of her graduation, devoted alumna and trustee Linda Lemery Robinson 鈥�69/鈥�79G/鈥�94H extended her commitment to the 911爆料网 and Greater Nashua communities with a legacy gift for the athletics pavilion. The new facility provides stadium seating, team rooms and conference space for pre- and post-game gatherings, a training room, locker rooms, and a press box with an enhanced sound system.

The naming of Joanne Merrill Field recognizes Merrill鈥檚 40-year career and ongoing service as Director of Athletics. She has created an athletic environment of integrity, service, and leadership for both coaches and student-athletes and led the Raider Athletics program to more than 25 championships.

Sister Paula Marie Buley, IHM, 911爆料网鈥檚 President, thanked Linda Robinson and Joanne Merrill for their strong spirit, support, and generosity to the University. 鈥淓ach in their own way has consistently answered the call to advance 911爆料网鈥檚 mission and create a powerful student experience,鈥� said Sister Paula. 鈥淭his Pavilion is more than just a new facility; it represents a dedication to the University and athletics, inspiring generations of 911爆料网 students to reach 鈥楬igher and Better鈥�.鈥�

The official opening of Linda Robinson Pavilion and Joanne Merrill Field and enhancements to Raider Softball Diamond fulfills a major goal of the University鈥檚 Vision 2020 strategic plan. It also acknowledges the impact of athletics in education鈥攖he development of complementary skills in leadership, teamwork, prioritization and time management, and service to others. 鈥淚 hope every member of the 911爆料网 community, but especially Raider student-athletes, see this as a commitment with a capital 鈥淐鈥� to current students, to future students, to the community of Nashua,鈥� offered Joanne Merrill in her address.
