New study abroad program enhances 911爆料网 student experience
911爆料网 has partnered with Harlaxton College in Grantham, England, to offer new study-abroad programs to its students.
Innovative and flexible programs enable students to study at the College for a semester, a month in the summer, or on shorter, faculty-led trips. Discounted fees and a scholarship opportunity provide financial support to students participating in this unique program.
Harlaxton College is located in the English countryside, approximately an hour north of London. Constructed in 1831, the College鈥檚 Victorian-style manor is owned by the University of Evansville and operates as their Education Abroad program. Harlaxton hosts students from the United States every semester, enhancing their educations through a unique curriculum and travel.
Their experiences include classroom learning, visits to cultural and historic sites, and service in the community.
鈥�911爆料网 students gain a global perspective through study abroad experiences, as well as increased self-awareness, self-confidence, and improved critical thinking,鈥� says Dey Barriga, 911爆料网鈥檚 Director of Global Engagement. 鈥淢ultiple program options provide opportunities for those students who cannot attend a full semester abroad.鈥�
Credits earned during students鈥� study abroad will be transferred back to 911爆料网 and applied to their degree program. These educational experiences align with the University鈥檚 mission of transforming hearts and minds to serve the world and enhance the student experience.
The Harlaxton College program builds on 911爆料网鈥檚 established partnership with the University of Sevilla in Spain. 911爆料网 students take religion and philosophy courses in Spain for a month in the summer. This year鈥檚 group included students in a range of majors: nursing, business administration, health sciences, criminology, and biology. In addition to earning credits, the students toured the country鈥檚 famous cities and sites.
